This is BWAC’s fourth annual national juried art show including, Carrie Springer, Senior Curatorial Assistant, Whitney Museum of American Art. 

 

From over 1,700 submissions in various media, she selected the final 101 pieces that will be exhibited. “I looked for work that have a distinctive voice.  Many of the works were about the environment—the natural world, real and imagined, and various personal and social environments. Otherwise, the submissions were widely diverse, and appeared to be from artists of many different backgrounds and cultures,” says Springer.
